Carlos A. Ponzio is an economist and multidisciplinary artist based in Mexico, As a composer, his music has been performed by musicians of the Metropolitan Opera of New York, by ensembles from three continents, by organizations like “Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería”, in international festivals like FIMNME organizaed by the National Institute of Fine Arts, in Mexico, and in halls like Sala Manuel M. Ponce in the Museum of Fine Arts of Mexico City.
As a writer, he has published the Memoire: “Héroe de Cien Batallas”, the Novel “Amistades Fantásticas”, and more than 300 Flash Fictions. As a visual artist, he has participated in several individual and collective exhibitions, both public and private, in galleries, museums and art cafes. He is currently represented by Galeria Marstell in Mexico City.
He is the leader of the Transdisciplinary Art Group “Hostal Mercedes Av.”, and its projects “¿Qué es lo importante en la vida?”, “¿Qué significa estar vivo?” and “¿En qué piensas cuando miras al cielo?”.
With a Ph.D in Economics from Harvard University, he also works as a Consultant in topics related to Economic Strategy and the Economics of Art and Culture. He has also been a memeber of the National System of Researchers in his own country.
He has been a Keynote Speaker for the Mexican Federal Congress in topics related to Creativity, Innovation and Development, and for many other instances.
Carlos A. Ponzio is an outstanding economist. Strategist, innovator, and expert in the application of economics for the solution of the most pressing problems in his country.
